What does Jesus invite everyone to do?

Jesus Invites Everyone

He invites us all to come,
to seek Him with our whole heart,
to draw near without fear,
to stand equal in His light,
and to be remembered in His redeeming love.

"For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile."
                                                2 Nephi 26:33

What does Jesus invite everyone to do?

A unified devotional...

This invitation is something we receive and walk in together.

1. “He inviteth…”
    Christ extends a real invitation

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."
                                                         Jude 1:3

The word inviteth carries the weight of Jude 1:3, where we are urged to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

This tells us:

▪︎ We are invited into a faith God Himself
  delivered.
▪︎ We are invited to receive what He has
  already prepared.

Christ’s invitation is not vague—it is covenantal, deliberate, and extended to us with divine intent.

2. “He inviteth them all…”
No one is outside His reach

"And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name."
                                                    Alma 19:36

Alma 19:36 declares that “the light of the everlasting God was shining upon the Lamanites… that all people… might be saved.”

This expands our understanding:

▪︎ All nations, all peoples, all stories are
  included.
▪︎ We stand equal before Him—no favored
  class, no forgotten group.

Christ’s invitation is universal.
We are part of a worldwide remembering.

3. “He inviteth them all to come…”
    Access to God is open

Access‑to‑God chain forms a single, powerful truth:

To come unto Christ is to seek Him with our whole heart and step into His presence.

Here is how each scripture deepens that truth:

▪︎ Deut. 4:29 — We find Him when we seek
  with all our heart.
▪︎ Isa. 55:6 — We call upon Him while He is
  near.
▪︎ Jer. 29:13 — We search and find when we
  seek Him fully.
▪︎ Matt. 7:7 — We ask, seek, knock—and
  heaven opens.
▪︎ John 14:6 (D&C 132:12) — Christ Himself is
the way back to the Father.
▪︎ Acts 17:27 — We “feel after Him” and
discover He is not far from us.
▪︎ Rom. 10:12 — The same Lord is rich unto all
  who call upon Him.
▪︎ Heb. 10:22 — We draw near with full
  assurance of faith.
▪︎ Rev. 3:20 — He stands at the door and
  knocks.
▪︎ 2 Ne. 26:13 — He manifests Himself to all
  who believe.
▪︎ 2 Ne. 26:33 — He invites all to come.
▪︎ 2 Ne. 28:32 — His arm is stretched out still.
▪︎ Alma 34:17 — We cry unto Him with all our
  soul.
▪︎ D&C 88:63“Draw near unto me and I will
  draw near unto you.”
▪︎ D&C 93:1 — Every soul who forsakes sin
and seeks Him shall see His face.

Meaning for us:

▪︎ Coming to Christ is active.
▪︎ We seek, we knock, we open, we draw
  near.
▪︎ And He meets us every time.

4. “He denieth none…”
His justice is perfect and personal

The cross‑reference scriptures is from Acts 10 for denieth, highlighting verse 28 as the key focus.

"¶ On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
"And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
"And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
"Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
"And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
"But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
"And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
"This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
"Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,
"And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
"¶ While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
"Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
"Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
"And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
"Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
"And the morrow after they entered into Cæsarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
"And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
"But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
"And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
"Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
"And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
"And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
"Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
"Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
"¶ Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
"But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."
"¶ While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word."
                                           Acts 10:9-35, 44

The principle for denieth is Justice reveals a God who judges with equity and receives all who turn to Him.

Here is the pattern:

▪︎ Deut. 1:16 — Judge righteously between
  every person.
▪︎ Deut. 24:16 — Each soul stands
  accountable for its own choices.
▪︎ Ps. 62:12 — God renders to every person
  according to their work.
▪︎ Isa. 56:1 — His salvation is near, His
  righteousness revealed.
▪︎ Jer. 17:10 (32:19) — He searches the heart
  and gives to every person.
▪︎ Jer. 31:30 — Each soul bears its own
  accountability.
▪︎ Ezek. 18:4 — All souls are His.
▪︎ Micah 6:8 — We are called to do justly as
  He does.
▪︎ Zech. 7:9 — Execute true judgment.
▪︎ 1 Jn. 1:9 — He is faithful and just to forgive.
▪︎ 2 Ne. 26:33 — He denies none.
▪︎ Jacob 6:10 — Justice cannot be denied.
▪︎ Alma 41:3 — We are restored to our works.
▪︎ Alma 42:15 — Justice and mercy meet
  in Christ.
▪︎ D&C 137:9 — God judges the heart and
  the intent.

Meaning for us:

▪︎ We are not denied because of who we are.
▪︎ We are received because He is just,
  merciful, and true.

5. “Black and white, bond and free…”
    All stand equal before Him

The cross‑references for bond reinforce this:

"For there is no respect of persons with God."
                                                 Romans 2:11

God loves all His children; He rules in equity.

"Behold, the Lord hath created the earth that it should be inhabited; and he hath created his children that they should possess it.
"And he raiseth up a righteous nation, and destroyeth the nations of the wicked.
"And he leadeth away the righteous into precious lands, and the wicked he destroyeth, and curseth the land unto them for their sakes.
"He ruleth high in the heavens, for it is his throne, and this earth is his footstool.
"And he loveth those who will have him to be their God. Behold, he loved our fathers, and he covenanted with them, yea, even Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he remembered the covenants which he had made; wherefore, he did bring them out of the land of Egypt."
                                         1 Nephi 17:35-40

Meaning for us:

▪︎ We walk the same covenant path.
▪︎ We receive the same invitation.
▪︎ We are equal in His sight.

6. “He remembereth the heathen…”
    His remembrance is global

The cross‑reference scriptures show a God who remembers every nation:

God cares for those Jonah would have excluded:

"Then said the Lord, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
                                              Jonah 4:10-11

He speaks to all nations:

"For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the Nephites and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto all nations of the earth and they shall write it."
                                                2 Nephi 29:12

He remembers the nations and brings them to Him:

"Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success."
                                              Alma 26:27, 37

And the TG principle Heathen expands it:

▪︎ Ps. 33:10 — He brings the nations into
  His purposes.
▪︎ Ezek. 37:28 — The nations will know the
  Lord sanctifies His people.
▪︎ Ezek. 39:21 — He sets His glory among the
  nations.
▪︎ Amos 9:12 — The remnant of all nations is
  included.
▪︎ Zech. 9:10 — His dominion is worldwide.
▪︎ Mal. 1:11 — His name is great among the
  nations.
▪︎ Gal. 3:8 — All nations are blessed through
  Abraham.
▪︎ 2 Ne. 26:33 — He remembers the heathen.
▪︎ D&C 45:54 — The nations will be taught
  and comforted.

Meaning for us:

▪︎ We are part of a global gathering.
▪︎ No nation is forgotten.
▪︎ No people is outside His covenant reach.

Devotional Conclusion

Jesus invites every one of us to come unto Him—to seek Him, trust Him, open our hearts to Him, and step into His presence. He denies none. He excludes none. He remembers all. In His justice, His mercy, and His universal reach, He gathers us into one family, one covenant, one hope.
