How are Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost connected?

📜 11 And the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me; and the Father giveth the Holy Ghost unto the children of men, because of me.
                                         📒 3 Nephi 28:11

The Verse Itself Establishes the Pattern of Connection

This single sentence reveals three interlocking relationships that help us understand how the Godhead works in perfect unity for our salvation.

2. Connection #1 — The Holy Ghost Turns Our Hearts Toward the Father and the Son

The verse begins with the Holy Ghost:

《  “The Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me.” 》

This means the Spirit’s entire mission is relational—He draws us toward the Father and the Son.
He does not testify of Himself.
He turns us outward and upward.

For us:

When we feel truth settle, when our hearts burn, when clarity pierces confusion, we are experiencing the Spirit doing exactly what Jesus described—bearing record of the Father and the Son.

This aligns perfectly with:

📜 17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.
🗝📜 18 And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive.
📜 19 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.
📜 20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.
📜 21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.
                        🗝📒 2 Nephi 31:18 (17-21)

      ◆ The Holy Ghost
“witnesses of the Father and the Son.”

📜 32 And this is my doctrine, and it is the doctrine which the Father hath given unto me; and I bear record of the Father, and the Father beareth record of me, and the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me; and I bear record that the Father commandeth all men, everywhere, to repent and believe in me.
                                         📒 3 Nephi 11:32

      ◆ The Holy Ghost
“beareth record of the Father and me.”

📜 4 And in the mouth of three witnesses shall these things be established; and the testimony of three, and this work, in the which shall be shown forth the power of God and also his word, of which the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost bear record—and all this shall stand as a testimony against the world at the last day.
                                                  📒 Ether 5:4

◆ The Holy Ghost stands as one
          of the three divine witnesses.

📜 66 And he heard a voice out of heaven, saying: Thou art baptized with fire, and with the Holy Ghost. This is the record of the Father, and the Son, from henceforth and forever;
                                             📚 Moses 6:66

◆ Shows the Holy Ghost doing exactly
           what 3 Nephi 28:11  describes
◆ He brings the united witness of the
Father and the Son directly into us.
His role is deeply personal and
          deeply relational.
          • He bears record of the Father
            and the Son.
          • He brings Their witness
            into our lives.
          • He seals Their testimony
            upon our hearts.

So the first connection is directional:
The Spirit always points us to Them.

3. Connection #2 — The Father Gives the Holy Ghost “Because of” Christ

The second half of the verse shifts to the Father:

“The Father giveth the Holy Ghost unto the children of men, because of me.”

This reveals a profound truth:

The gift of the Holy Ghost is a covenant blessing unlocked by Christ’s atoning work.

Father gives the Spirit because of the Son—
because of His righteousness,
because of His sacrifice,
because He opened the way for us to receive divine companionship again.

For us:
We do not earn the Spirit by our perfection.
We receive Him because Jesus made the gift possible.

This connection is covenantal:
The Father gives; the Son enables; the Spirit sanctifies.

4. Connection #3 — Their Unity Is Expressed Through Shared Testimony

Across all the companion scriptures you gathered, one theme repeats:

      • The Father bears record of the Son.
      • The Son bears record of the Father.
      • The Holy Ghost bears record of both.

This is not redundancy.
This is divine unity.

Three voices, one witness.
Three persons, one purpose.
Three testimonies, one path of salvation.

Ether 5:4 calls this the “testimony of three,” and Moses 6:66 shows that even baptism—our entrance into covenant life—is framed as the record of the Father and the Son, delivered through the Holy Ghost.

Their unity is relational, functional, and salvific.

5. What This Means for Us

When we ask, “How are Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost connected?”
3 Nephi 28:11 answers with clarity:

They are connected in mission.

◆ All three labor to bring us back into
          the presence of the Father.

They are connected in testimony.

◆ Each bears witness of the others,
creating a perfect circle of divine truth.

They are connected in covenant.

◆ The Father gives the Spirit because
of the Son, and the Spirit
          brings us to Them.

They are connected in love.

◆ Their work is not mechanical—
          it is relational.
      ◆ It is for us.
◆ It is about our return,
          our transformation,
          our eternal life.

6. The Verse in One Sentence

Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are united as three divine witnesses whose shared mission is to bring us into eternal life—the Father giving the Spirit, the Son enabling the gift, and the Holy Ghost testifying of Them both.

Closing Summary — Final Thoughts

Their Divine Connection:
— the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost

Across every verse we explored, a single, steady truth rises: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost work in perfect unity for our salvation. Their connection is not abstract or distant—it is something we experience as we walk the covenant path.

The Holy Ghost turns our hearts toward the Father and the Son.
The Father gives the Spirit because of the Son’s atoning work.
The Son opens the way for us to receive the Spirit’s companionship.
All three bear record of one another in a perfect circle of divine truth.

This unity is not mechanical—
      • it is relational.
      • It is covenantal.
      • It is filled with love.

When we receive the Holy Ghost, we receive the living witness of the Father and the Son.
When we follow Christ, we walk the path the Father prepared.
When we feel the Spirit, we are being drawn back into Their presence.

Three voices, one witness.
Three persons, one purpose.
Three divine beings working together to bring us home.
